About Susan Thomas

I’m Susan Thomas, a mother of three, a grandmother of three, a wife and a lover of LifeUpright. I have been happily married for over 35 years and have a husband and family I adore. I have a finance degree from the University of North Texas and a dual citizenship of the US and New Zealand.

Taking from my 14 years experience in modeling and acting, I began teaching cotillion and etiquette classes at the middle school and high school level to encourage young people to feel confident in themselves through understanding the importance of presenting themselves in a positive light. I have taught children in VBS, as well as coached basketball and baseball teams.

While I was a stay-at-home mom, I worked a part-time, home-based business selling nutritional products pertaining to the Thirty40Thirty concept of eating. I am a certified nutrition and wellness consultant as well as certified to teach anti-inflammation nutrition and pro-resolution nutrition through a program with Dr. Barry Sears, author and scientist behind The Zone Diet and numerous best selling books including, Enter the Zone and The Mediterranean Zone. I am passionate about sharing my experiences as a mother, grandmother, wife, coach, nutritionist and friend on how to improve your life in a strategically balanced, happy and successful way.

For  4 1/2 years, from 2017 – 2021 I worked part time at Next Gen Health & Lifestyle Club in Auckland, New Zealand with 5000+ members, as their in-house Nutritionist. I taught weekly Nutrition Fundamentals classes and workshops on different types of wellness topics. A year and a half ago, I moved back to Dallas, Texas with my husband, chief editor and best friend, Mike.
